Sherlene "Tootsie" Warren

Sherlene (Tootsie) Elizabeth Warren 86, died on Jan. 2, 2024, at the Havenwood Nursing Home in Bemidji, MN.  She was born on May 1, 1937, in White Earth, MN.  She was the daughter of Lioba Cogger.

Sherlene Warren (Fairbanks) married to Warren (Dude) Warren celebrated 62 years of marriage together.  They had six children David Warren of Bemidji, Terri Boyer (Dale Boyer) of Callaway, Beverly Warren of Bemidji, Michael Warren of White Earth, and Debra Warren of Bemidji.  She had 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  She also has a sister Verenda Cogger from Toledo, Ohio.

Sherlene (Tootsie) worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at the St. Mary’s Hospital and at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN.  A job that she dearly enjoyed helping people.  She loved living on White Earth Lake, and she liked watching the wildlife on the lake and around her home.  She liked to have coffee in the mornings on her deck.  She enjoyed our family gatherings over the holidays and all the laughter and funny stories we all shared. She so enjoyed her grand-children and great-grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren.  She liked to go to Bingo and to the Shooting Star Casino and do some gambling. She liked to go shopping.  But most of all she just enjoyed it when her family would come to visit. 

In addition to her mother (Lioba Cogger), she was preceded in death by her husband Warren (Dude) Warren, son Thomas Warren Sr., grandson David King, two sisters Lucetta Doepke and Annette Johnson also two brothers Richard Fairbanks and Ronald Cogger.

A service of remembrance will be held at the St. Benedict Catholic Church at White Earth, MN at 11:00 am. on January 5, 2024. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at David-Donehower Funeral Home.
