Stella Barr

Stella Marie Miller was born April 7, 1930 in Morris, MN to George and Ruby (Grover) Miller. Stella grew up and was educated in Waubun, MN. On October 27, 1962, Stella was united in marriage to James Barr in Seattle, WA. They resided in Seattle for three years before moving back to the Waubun area in 1965. In 1968 they moved to Callaway, MN where they resided until retirement. In 1969, Stella started working for Emmanuel Nursing Home where she was certified as a CNA. Shortly after she provided in-home care for terminally ill patients who wanted to remain at home. Stella taught ceramics for a number of years. She enjoyed painting, quilting, crocheting, and embroidery/needle work. Stella will be remembered and missed by her sons: David Peltier of Detroit Lakes, Donald Peltier of Ulen, MN and daughter Brenda (Russell) Howard of Lake Shore, MN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Roxanne, and son: Marvin along with brothers: Charles Miller, Wesley Miller and sister: Millie Aanerud
