Stephen Franklin Seymour was born December 2, 1949 in Detroit Lakes, MN to William F. & Cleone E. (Neuner) Seymour. He grew up in the Detroit Lakes/Cotton Lake area and is a 1967 graduate of Frazee High School. Steve then attended MSU-Moorhead graduating in 1973 with Bachelor of Science teaching degrees in psychology and biology. In 1986 Stephen was awarded the Presidential Teaching Award in Science. He taught sciences in Gackle, ND until retiring in 2001 and moving back to his childhood home on Cotton Lake in Rochert.
Stephen married the love of his life, Claudia Madison July 30, 1977 in Detroit Lakes, MN. Together they had three daughters: Suzanna, Rebecca and Victoria. Steve loved life and lived it to the fullest everyday. He taught everyone who knew him strength, courage and how to love unconditionally. Stephen loved to cook, hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends. The legacy of his life and love for the Lord served as a model for his wife and children.
Stephen leaved behind his wife, Claudia of Rochert, the three daughters: Suzanna Seymour of Frazee, MN, Rebecca (Aaron) Vander Vorst of Grand Forks, ND, Victoria Seymour of Rochert, a grandchild soon to be born and many people he called friends.
Preceeding him in death are his parents, William and Cleone and his step-brother, William Seymour Jr.
