Steven LaDoux

Steven Benedict Ladoux, 77 of Detroit Lakes, MN passed away on November 21,2021 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Steven was born on November 24,1943 to Bernice Blue and John Smith. Steven was one of ten children and grew up and went to school in White Earth. He had many jobs growing up such as grave digging, forestry in Oregon, specialized turf in Hasting, West Central Turkeys in Pelican Rapids and most recently he owned his own construction company, Steve’s Construction and retired in 2012.

In 1980 Steven met the love of his life Tammie Loerzel. Together they had 5 wonderful children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Steven loved deer hunting, fishing, Sunday drives thru the trails in his wheeler, going to demo derbies, races at Buffalo River Speedway, going to bingo, BBQs with his family, woodworking and building things. Steven Loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren more than anything.

Steven is survived by his wife Tammie LaDoux, Children Julie LaDoux, Tanya (Perry Jr.) Heinonen, Xander LaDoux and Monte (Amanda) Peterson. Grandchildren Ashley (Robbie) LaDoux, Tyler (Amber) Ladoux, Katelin (Brandon) Hanebuth, Perry (Bryanna) Heinonen III, Landen Heinonen, Madison Kern, Adryon Heinonen, Destiny Heinonen, Alyssa Peterson, Aiden Peterson, and Mason Peterson. Great- Grandchildren Carson Dimmen, Milo Dimmen, Jaxson LaDoux, Xaylee Hanebuth, Ryot Hanebuth, and Raiden LaDoux. Siblings Jan St. Clair, Denise (Bernie) Deichert, Richard LaDoux, Milton (Nancy) LaDoux and Conrad (Pauline) Ladoux. Honorary Friendships Darrell White Dubac & Everette “Ozzy” Darwin.

Steven is proceeded in death by his parents Bernice Blue and John smith. Children Joseph, Jason, and Kristina. Siblings Bernard (Jug) Blue, Holly Valiant, Sharon Sandberg, and Bonnie Rose.
