Stuart Dean Lindstrom, beloved Father, Grandfather and Friend, passed away due to complications from COPD on February 15th, 2025, at the age of 62, with his sons at his side, at Essentia Medical Center in Fargo, ND. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Stuart was born March 14, 1962, to John “Wally” and Luella (Seydel) Lindstrom. He attended Detroit Lakes High School, entered into the United States National Guard and then continued his studies on the open road. Stuart began working for R&R Trucking and enjoyed a successful career for over 30 years until his retirement in 2019. He was proud to have travelled all over the country and is estimated to have over four million miles to his record. There wasn’t a route that he didn’t know and was fond of his past travels.
In 1982, Stuart met Valerie Larson and together they raised two wonderful sons, Joshua Dean & John Wallace. Stuart’s pride of his life was his two sons. One of Stuart’s favorite pastimes was riding his Harley Davidson with his boys, the three of them are better known as “Stumeat & The Biscuits”. He was known for mixing a margarita or seven at his picnic table and always made sure his guests were entertained. Stuart will be remembered for his love of family, sense of humor, his knowledge of some wild theories, politics and adventurous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents John (1998, age 72) and Luella (1973, age 44), along with many dear family members and friends who held a special place in his heart.
Stuart is survived by his two children: Joshua (Elizabeth) of Lake Park, MN, and John (Amy) of Detroit Lakes, MN; Grandchildren: Morgan (19), Eden (6), Louise (6) and Oliver (4); Sisters: Pamela (Doug) Winings of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Cindy (Tom) Knoll of Detroit Lakes, MN; Nieces: Jessie, Mandy, and Rose; Nephew Max; and Great-Niece: Peyton.
