Susan Butcher

Susan M. Ahbedausch was born October 15, 1923 in White Earth, MN. She was raised in White Earth and attended the White Earth Mission School. At the age of 18, she moved to Ponsford . She was united in marriage to Arthus Butcher Sr. in Ponsford. They made their home in rural Ponsford. Arthur died in 1984. Susan moved to Minneapolis in 1972, to Detroit Lakes in 2007 and to Mahnomen in 2011. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, going to Pow Wow's, shopping and going out to eat. Survivors include 2 sons: Thomas (Lisa Thompson) Butcher of Frazee, MN, LaVerne Butcher of Minneapolis, MN and a daughter: Eileen Butcher of Frazee, MN; many grand and great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons: Arthur Jr., Walter, 2 daughters: Edith and Esther, Grandsons, Thomas Butcher Jr., Tom Hanks, granddaughter, Lorraine Hanks, 3 sisters: Margaret Hanks and Esther Goodman and Eliza Ahbedausch.
