Tanner Jay Bahr age 24, of Detroit Lakes, MN. died at home on Monday, May 22, 2017. A memorial service for Tanner will be held on Friday, May 26 at 1:00 pm IN THE David-Donehower Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Tanner was born in Detroit Lakes on September 1, 1992. Although he was born with challenges, he faced life bravely. He attended Rossman Elementary,
Roosevelt Middle School, and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 2013. His favorite thing was to be outdoors. Tanner loved to hear the birds singing, walks in his jogger and his puppy "Ewok". Hearing his grandmother sing always brought a smile to his face. He enjoyed sitting with his grandma and cheering on the Vikings. Tanner loved the commotion of family gatherings, the voices of little children and hearing the adult conversations was comforting to him. These times of family were very important to him. Music also played an important role in Tanners life. He loved all kinds of music. Tanner loved people, Eskimo kisses, school bus rides, going for cruises, evening baths and visiting his Uncle Randy and the ducks that welcomed him. He went fishing with his Uncle Randy and his grandma once and it was a memorable experience for all those involved. Uncle Randy would love to share that story with you! Family surviving Tanner are: His parents, Rory Bahr and Lisa Davis, brother and sister; Travis Bahr and Annie Bahr. His grandmother, Shirley Bahr and grandfather, Rodney Bahr. Several aunts and uncles; Randy Bahr, Maribeth (Andy) Lee, Robbie Bahr, Becky (Dale) Spath, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death are Tanner's great-grandparents, one great-uncle, Dennis and one great-aunt, Arlys.
