Terrie Hesby

Terrie E. Hesby, 62, Detroit Lakes, MN died Monday, August 27 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, September 5 at 2pm in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, rural Detroit Lakes.  A gathering of friends and family will take place one hour prior to services.

Terrie Ellen Anderson was born February 29, 1956 in Fargo, ND to Floyd and Beverly (Rensby) Anderson.    She graduated from Audubon High School and furthered her education at Detroit Lakes Vo-Tech.  Terrie earned her degree in Medical Transcription.  She worked at Lake Center Store for a few years and that is also where she met her future husband.   On June 23, 1984 Terrie was united in marriage to Gary Hesby.   They made their home in Frazee for over 25 years before moving to Audubon, MN.  During her working career, Terrie was employed by St. Mary’s Hospital and later Dakota Clinic until her health started to fail in 2009.  Terrie worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for over 25 years.  She loved spending time with her family, tending to her flowers and gardening.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing daycare for her daughters and her daughters’ friends but most importantly she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.   Terrie will be remembered and missed by her husband, Gary Hesby of Detroit Lakes, two daughters:  Kari Hesby of Detroit Lakes and Crystal Hesby of Frazee, MN, two grandchildren:  Alexis Newman and Zachary Hesby-Rousu and one brother: Chris Anderson of Fargo, ND

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters:  Judith Tweten and Gloria Skare and one brother:  Tim Anderson.
