Thelma Colling

Thelma S. Colling, 56, Perham, MN, formerly of the Strawberry Lake area, died Friday, June 15 in Peoria, AZ. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 23 at the Northern Lights Tabernacle, Richwood, MN Pastor Robert .St. Claire, officiating. Interment will be in the Strawberry Lake Mennonite Cemetery, rural Ogema, MN. Friends may call 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes and at the church 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Thelma Sandra Colling, known as "Willie" was born June 29, 1955 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Victor and Mary (Riggle) Dodd. She was raised in the Detroit Lakes area and is a 1973 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School. Willie was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Colling in 1979 in Richwood, MN. They lived in a number of communities during their married life. Willie loved serving her Lord. She enjoyed time in prayer, fishing and camping. Survivors include her husband, Bob of Perham, MN, three sons: Ken Colling of Detroit Lakes, Victor (Corrine) Colling of Detroit Lakes, Shawn (Amy) Colling of Omaha, NE, seven grandchildren: Rebecca, Tory, Quentin, Emily, Tyler, Michael and Melissa; two brothers: Victor (Patty) Dodd in PA, Ross Dodd of Ogema, four sisters: Joy Stoltzfus of TN, Louise Lawrence of Detroit Lakes, Robin (Gus) Dodd-Anderson of Detroit Lakes, Annie Dodd of Detroit Lakes. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Milton and Morrie and two sisters: Sharon and Esther.
