Thomas Allen Mulholland

Thomas Allen Mulholland, 60, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2023, at Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN. He was surrounded by his loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Born on December 18, 1962 in Lima, OH, Thomas was the beloved son of Robert and Addie (Eccard) Mulholland. Throughout his life, he brought joy and laughter to those around him with his warm smile and kind-hearted nature. Thomas was a man of many talents and had an unwavering passion for culinary arts and a green thumb for gardening.

Thomas pursued his dream of becoming a chef and dedicated himself to mastering the art of cooking. With his skillful hands and creative flair, he delighted countless customers throughout his career. In addition to his successful career as a chef, Thomas served honorably in the Army National Guard. His commitment to duty and dedication to protecting our nation will always be remembered and appreciated. Thomas exemplified bravery and selflessness during his time of service.

Outside of work and military service, Thomas found solace in nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who cherished moments spent outdoors. Whether casting a line into a tranquil lake or exploring the beauty of the wilderness, he found peace in the simplicity of nature's embrace. These cherished memories will forever remain ingrained within the hearts of those who knew him best.

Thomas will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind sons: Thomas (Amanda) Mulholland Jr. and children Tayden, Isabella, Eliijah and Ryder, residing in White Earth, MN, and Jason (Teresa) Sampson and children Avery, Landon, Ryland, Sophia and Robbie, a daughter, Tara (TJ) Mulholland, residing in Brainerd, MN, sisters: Dorothy (Paul) Seibert residing in Warrenton, VA, Sharon (Basil) LeClaire residing in Brainerd, MN, and Nancy (Bob) McMichael residing in Spencerville, OH and brothers: Jim (Lisa) Mulholland residing in Grinnell, IA, John Mulholland residing in Cambridge, MN and brother-in-law, Richard Bacon. Though he may no longer be physically present, his spirit lives on through his children and the beautiful memories they shared together.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Susan (Manchester) Mulholland and sister, Shirley Bacon.

A visitation service to honor and celebrate Thomas' life will be held on October 13, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at David-Donehower Funeral & Cremation Service located at 609 US Hwy 10 East, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM at the same location. These services are an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share stories, and find solace in each other's presence.
