Veronica “Bobby” Jurina, 59, resident of Remer, MN, died March 12 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 18 at 1PM in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Naytahwaush, MN.  Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass.   Interment will be held in the spring at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Naytahwaush.

Veronica Lois Jurina, known to everyone as “Bobby” was born July 10, 1959 in Minneapolis, MN to James and Sharon (Coon) Jurina.    In 1975, she met her life partner, Paulette Stone and maintained a 44 year relationship with her until her passing.   Bobby and Paulette operated an office cleaning business until June of 1995, then moving to the Cass Lake area.   In 2017, Bobby and Paulette lost their home to a fire.  They moved from Cass Lake to Remer where they currently resided.   During her spare time, Bobby enjoyed attending PowWows along with celebrating her native heritage.   She loved animals, especially dogs.  She provided a loving home for her pets and often took in stray dogs as well.  Cookouts and get togethers with friends were always one of Bobby’s favorite things to do.  Bobby and Paulette always hosted the best Halloween parties.   She also enjoyed collecting lava lamps.  She had over 100 lava lamps that she collected over the years.   Bobby also had the gift of music and enjoyed playing the guitar and drums.

Bobby will be remembered and missed by her life partner, Paulette Stone, daughter, Bernadette Stone, sons:  Keron Keezer and Kyler Keezer, her father, James Jurina of Norman, OK, siblings:  Richard (Tina) Jurina of Fargo, ND, James (Sandy) Jurina of Mahnomen, MN, Jeffrey (Bobbi) Jurina of Detroit Lakes, MN, Russel Thomas and Cedar Henry both of Tioga, ND, Anthony (Shannon) Jurina of San Antonio, TX, Michele (Josh) Lucero of Isleta, NM, Kara (Adam) Tilley of Norman, OK, Christy (Brian) Jones of Crescent OK, Amanda (Jeremy) Warner of Ponca City, OK, Amber (Calvin) Donner of Ottertail, MN, two grandchildren:  Nicole Robertson and Kyra Morgan and one great-grandson:  True O’Brien all of Remer, MN.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Coon and one sister, Alicia Jean Jurina.

Bobby’s loving personality and care for others will be greatly missed.
