Wanda Holm

Wanda M. Holm, 80, Lake Park, MN, died unexpectedly at home on September 20, 2018.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 29, 2 pm at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, rural Audubon, MN.  A gathering of friends and family will be held Friday, September 28 at St. Peter’s from 6pm-8pm with a 7:30 pm Prayer Service and will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Wanda Marie Kent was born July 24, 1938 in LuVerne, ND to Floyd and Wilma Kent.  Wanda was raised and educated in Page, ND where she met her lifelong love and partner in life, Mick Holm.  She was always proud of the fact that they had walked to school together since the 4th grade, and was quick to tell her family she even carried his books.  Wanda and Mick were united in marriage in 1956. After college and 3 years in Bowman, ND they settled in Moorhead, MN, where Wanda was a stay at home Mom. Once her four children were in school, she started working as a secretary for Moorhead Public Schools where she continued until her retirement in 1997.  Wanda and Mick spent their retirement years together between the sunshine of Big Cormorant Lake and Sun City, AZ. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed many hobbies which included: baking, quilting, water aerobics and playing pinochle with her friends.  Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was the joy of her life.  Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by her entire family.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Mick Holm, their four children:  Monica (John) Larsen of Baltimore, MD, Margo (Mike) Ingemansen of Bismarck, ND, Michael (Stephanie) Holm of Moorhead, MN, and Melinda (Perry) Tinjum of Stacy, MN.  She is also survived by her grandchildren:  Meredith (Chris) Merrill, Charles (Megan) Larsen, Christian Larsen, Luke Ingemansen, Mikel Ingemansen, Samuel Ingemansen, Cooper Holm, Morgan Holm, Maret Holm, Whitney Tinjum, and William Tinjum and one great-granddaughter: Riley Ingemansen.  In addition she is survived by one sister, Candy (Dick) Zaun and one brother, Steve (Gloria) Kent.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Wilma Kent, two sisters:  Pat Nelson and Loramae Anderson and three brothers:  Leslie Kent, Dennis Kent and Ronald Kent.
