Interment will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Detroit Lakes. Winnifred A. Rohr "Peggy" was born June 22, 1919 in rural Detroit Lakes to Nicholas and Mabel (Hancock) Rohr. She attended school in Detroit Lakes and graduated from Holmes High School in 1938. On April 11, 1939, Peggy was united in marriage to Donald Jenson in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Together they farmed near Audubon, MN for two years and later Perham, MN for a few years. In 1943, Peggy and Don purchased the old Jenson farmstead and while raising their family, operated a small farming business. Peggy worked as a housekeeper for numerous residents in Detroit Lakes, a job she carried with pride well into her 80's. For over 20 years she sold Avon products and at 91 years of age, Peggy was still an Avon saleswoman. Peggy was an active and lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a member of Christian Mothers and served as captain of St. Joseph's Circle for 17 years. Peggy enjoyed playing cards at church with friends and also bingo when she had time. As a faithful parishioner to her church, Peggy was also a faithful Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves fan, following them through the seasons. During the summer, she enjoyed tending to her garden. She also exhibited crafts, food, flowers and veggies for over 80 years at the Becker County Fair, winning numerous prizes and ribbons that she was very proud of. Peggy loved spending time with family, entertaining whenever possible. She also loved to travel. She and Don belonged to Nomads Camping Club, spending 17 winters in Arizona. Her most memorable vacation was her trip to Alaska with her daughter Marilyn. Peggy volunteered her time at Oak Crossing for several years, visiting with residents, playing cards and watering plants. When asked why she enjoys volunteering, Peggy replied; "The people are so friendly and fun to work with. I don't feel my day is complete without making at least one person smile from my visiting."

Peggy 's caring and giving nature will be missed by her children: Marilyn Henn of Oakdale, MN, Roger Jenson of Lake Park, MN, Lynda (Paul) Lilja of Grand Rapids, MN, Larry (Judy) Jenson of Houston, TX, Steve Jenson and James (Betty) Jenson both of Detroit Lakes. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, one son Richard, five sisters: Margaret Isaacs, Florence Hoffman, Dorothy Tobkin, Eleanor Stonelake and Gertrude Zurn and two brothers: Ted Rohr and Norbert Rohr.
