Arthur VanWert Jr.

Arthur William VanWert Jr. (Bud) was born January 9, 1948 in White Earth, MN to Arthur and Ethelbert (Vanett) VanWert.  Arthur lived most of his life in the White Earth area, only living briefly in the St. Paul area. On September 7th, 1977 Arthur was united in marriage to Caroline Bradehoft Houle in St. Paul, MN.  To this union, three children were born.  The couple later divorced but  Arthur still held Caroline close to his heart.

Arthur held various jobs throughout his life. His favorite job was working for the Soo Line Railroad until he became disabled and had to quit. He loved the outdoors and everything to do with the woods.  He loved to hunt, fish, trap, maple syrup and wild rice harvesting, diamond willow carving, and fixing on vehicles. Arthur’s greatest joy was being with his large family and friends.

Arthur is survived by his children; Arthur William VanWert 3rd, Caroline Sophia Jo VanWert, Arthur William VanWert 4th, Michael James (Shannon) VanWert Sr, Mystic Nolelle Olmstead, Dante Devon Tyler, Michael James VanWert Jr, Jacqueline Lynn (Anthony “Tony” Nelson Sr.) VanWert, Jaiden Joseph Guinn, Nicole Marie Nelson, Anthony Britton Nelson Jr. Siblings; Jeanette Nicholson, Barbara (Dave)   Jenson, Glen (Beverly) VanWert, Linda Bellecourt, Carol Ann Gelinek, Joan (Gordon) Peterson and Harold VanWert along with numerous relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ethelbert  VanWert.
